Families interested in applying for an Anchorage School District school outside of their student's neighborhood boundary are reminded that the ASD Online Lottery System closes Sunday, July 12, at 5 p.m.

To be included in the lottery, all applications must be completed and submitted before the deadline. 

The ASD Online Lottery System provides equitable access to schools and programs outside of a student's neighborhood boundary through a randomized lottery process.

Fall Lottery Timeline

• Sunday, July 12, 5 p.m. – Lottery closes for applications

• Monday, July 27, 4 p.m. – Lottery results are released to families

Families who receive an offer of placement or a waitlist notification will have two business days from the time results are released to confirm their accepted or waitlist placement.

The online lottery will reopen at 12 a.m. on February 1, 2027, for applications for the 2027–28 school year. The lottery waitlist is reset each year for the new school year. Students who were on the waitlist will need to reapply for the next upcoming school year lottery cycle to be considered for a seat at a program or a school outside their neighborhood attendance zone.
